The opening of 2020 is shocked by the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that is believed to be spread by exotic animals from Wuhan, China.
Malaysia is one of the 30 country that affected by the virus with the number keep on increasing as to date.
Hence, our security personnel in collaboration with Lotte Chemical Titan (LCTM) has conducted health screening to every contractor and LCTM staff that enter LCTM premises starting on 30 January 2020.
As for prevention, LCTM and our security personnel strictly will not allow anyone with a temperature 37.5 and above to enter LCTM premises.
Public are advised to take precautions in dealing with the spread of the virus.
Here are some of preventive measures that all of us can do.
- Wash hands frequently with water and soap or hand sanitizer especially after coughing and sneezing.
- Wear face mask if you have to interact/ deal with other people.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Avoid crowded places and close contact with people showing symptoms.
- Avoid eating raw or under cooked meat.
The public are advised to seek medical attention immediately if they have symptoms of respiratory tract infections such as fever, cough or difficulty of breathing.
